Did you know a group (collective noun) of giraffes is called A Journey Of Giraffes 🦒✨
It’s a fitting name for these elegant roamers of the savanna. Watching them move is pure magic — their legs walk in a unique gait, swinging both legs on the same side of the body at once, giving them that smooth, slow-motion glide.
Despite their long necks, giraffes have the same number of neck vertebrae as humans — just seven— but each one can be over 25cm long! Add in their incredible vision, powerful kicks (strong enough to fend off predators), and those gentle eyes, and it’s no wonder they’re one of the most captivating animals to photograph.
When standing still, a group can also be called a tower of giraffes — fitting for their height!
